Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia’s Minister of Defense and President-Elect for 2024-2029, is optimistic about the progress of the Nusantara Capital project. He expressed his confidence during a Cabinet Meeting with President Joko Widodo in East Kalimantan on August 12.
Prabowo mentioned that the atmosphere in the Nusantara Capital is promising and that there is potential to expedite the development. Despite the project’s expected completion taking several years, Prabowo believes that with the collaboration of experts, the Nusantara Capital could be fully operational within 4-5 years.
In his role as the future President, Prabowo is committed to continuing President Jokowi’s vision for the Nusantara Capital. He acknowledges Jokowi’s efforts as the initiator of the project and is determined to see it through to completion. He emphasized the importance of mobilizing experts and resources to ensure its success within the projected timeline.
