Prabowo Subianto Bertemu dengan Perdana Menteri Vietnam, Ungkapkan Rasa Kagum pada Perjuangan Kemerdekaan

Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto wrapped up his working visit to Hanoi by meeting with Vietnam’s Prime Minister, H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, on Saturday, September 14.

During the meeting, Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s commitment to sustaining cooperation in various sectors with Vietnam, a country that Indonesia views as a close and long-standing ally.

“We acknowledge Vietnam as a valuable friend and partner, and we hold great admiration for Vietnam’s fight for independence, which has served as an inspiration to people worldwide,” Prabowo stated.

Prabowo also highlighted the significance of upholding regional stability and further enhancing the relationship between Indonesia and Vietnam in the future.

Furthermore, Prabowo requested Vietnam’s backing for the joint leadership of Indonesia and the United States in the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus Experts’ Working Group (ADMM-Plus EWG) on Military Medicine for the 2024-2027 term.

“Indonesia is also seeking ongoing support from Vietnam for the successful joint leadership of Indonesia and the United States in the ADMM-Plus EWG on Military Medicine for the 2024-2027 period,” Prabowo added.

The meeting was attended by esteemed Vietnamese officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, as well as leaders from various ministries such as Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Public Security, Defense, Information and Communications, Natural Resources and Environment, Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Vietnam’s Ambassador to Indonesia.
