Jakarta — Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said goodbye to the leadership and members of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) during a meeting at the DPR building in Jakarta on Wednesday (September 25).
“I also ask for forgiveness if, during my five years as defense minister, I have done anything that may have disappointed you,” Prabowo said.
He emphasized that everything he had undertaken in his role as defense minister was done with the intention of safeguarding the interests and sovereignty of Indonesia.
At the same time, Prabowo expressed his gratitude for the dedication of the leadership and members of Commission I, hoping for continued collaboration in the future to build the nation and the state.
“With that, I bid you farewell. On behalf of the entire Ministry of Defense, we take our leave. We extend our congratulations and appreciation for your service, and I hope we can continue working together for our nation and country,” he continued.
Prabowo believes that the solid cooperation between the government and the legislative body provides a strong foundation to face future challenges, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the safety and well-being of the Indonesian people.
“Greater responsibilities await us all. Thank you, may God bless your service. And may Indonesia remain strong and prosperous,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
