Prabowo Subianto Memperingatkan Tentang Ketidakstabilan Global: Beberapa Pemimpin Dunia Kurang Bijaksana

Jakarta — President-elect of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has expressed concerns about the delicate state of global affairs, attributing much of the escalating tension to what he perceives as the imprudent actions of certain world leaders.

Speaking at the opening of the Forum Sinergitas Legislator PKB in Jakarta on Thursday (October 10), Prabowo remarked, “The world is in a very fragile state, with world leaders who, in my opinion, are displaying attitudes that are not wise.”

He criticized nations that are focused on imposing their own agendas on others, emphasizing the importance of tolerance and mutual respect for global harmony.

“We need wisdom. We need an atmosphere of mutual respect, not one where countries impose their will on others. But right now, there are nations seeking to impose their own will,” he said.

Highlighting the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, Prabowo noted the devastating impact of these conflicts on innocent civilians.

“We are witnessing, right before our eyes, innocent people, including women and children, being slaughtered and bombed—not in small numbers, but in the hundreds of thousands,” Prabowo explained.

He also addressed the threats of conflict between Israel and Iran, with both countries expressing readiness to engage in severe retaliation.

Despite the global instability, Prabowo acknowledged Indonesia’s peaceful state, attributing it to the openness of dialogue among various elements in the country, including political parties. He expressed confidence in the collaboration with PKB (Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa) to work towards the nation’s development, despite their support for a different candidate in the previous election.

“We are grateful for our ability to respect differences and come together despite our differing views. These differences can lead to cooperation, even though PKB supported another candidate in the last election,” Prabowo stated.

He concluded by expressing his confidence in PKB’s support in nation-building efforts, emphasizing that differences should not hinder progress. (RR)
