Prabowo’s visit marks a significant milestone in bilateral relations between Indonesia and India, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between the two countries. Ahead of his departure from Jakarta, Prabowo expressed pride in being chosen as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations, considering it a great honor for Indonesia. He highlighted the participation of Indonesian TNI troops in the event, emphasizing the strong bond between the two nations. The visit also includes planned meetings with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss enhancing cooperation on various strategic issues.
