President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, was met with a warm reception at a Jeddah hotel lobby. Indonesian elementary school children living in the city welcomed the President with great enthusiasm, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” What started as a formal reception soon turned into a heartwarming and joyful gathering as President Prabowo engaged with the children, smiling and taking photos. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, whose parents work at the Indonesian Embassy in Jeddah, proudly introduced himself to the President. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo shared a simple yet heartfelt message with the children, encouraging them to excel in their studies.
The encounter was also emotional for members of the Indonesian community in Jeddah, including Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Hanif expressed gratitude for the President’s visit and shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future.
