Prabowo Welcomes Brazilian President’s Plan for Business Leaders in Indonesia

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his excitement regarding Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring hundreds of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia. This statement came after a bilateral meeting between Prabowo and Lula at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília on Wednesday. Prabowo warmly welcomed the plan, emphasizing the potential for increased cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade and investment. He highlighted the common interests and vast potential for economic collaboration between Indonesia and Brazil, pointing out their large populations and abundance of natural resources. Prabowo also praised Brazil’s achievements in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing Indonesia’s eagerness to learn from their advancements. He appreciated Lula’s support for Indonesia’s plan to send more technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations. The visit to Brazil was part of Prabowo’s attendance at the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, with President Lula scheduled to visit Indonesia in October. Prabowo concluded by mentioning the grand birthday celebration planned for Lula’s upcoming 80th birthday in Jakarta.
