Prabowo Reveals Six Million MBG Beneficiaries in July

President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, revealed that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has garnered international recognition and is now a topic of discussion in global diplomatic circles. Speaking at the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Congress in Solo, Central Java, Prabowo highlighted the success of the program in providing free nutritious meals to schoolchildren, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers, attracting interest from other countries as well.

As of July 2025, the MBG program has benefitted over six million individuals, predominantly children and pregnant women. Prabowo expressed confidence in the program’s continued growth, aiming to reach 20 million beneficiaries by the end of August 2025, with the potential to surpass that target.

The MBG program plays a pivotal role in addressing malnutrition, promoting a healthy future generation, and stimulating the local economy by supporting food producers and vendors. Additionally, it contributes to social equality and early human development, contributing to the long-term development of the nation.
