Free Health Check Program for Schools: Reaching 53 Million Students in Indonesia

The Ministry of Health in Indonesia has officially launched the Free Health Check (CKG) program for schoolchildren nationwide, including in West Java Province. The initiative, part of President Prabowo Subianto’s Quick Win agenda, aims to detect physical and mental health issues early among school-aged children. Deputy Minister of Health, Prof. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, oversaw the program at SD Prestasi Global in Depok, emphasizing the importance of targeted health screenings for elementary school students. The initiative is set to reach 53 million schoolchildren across Indonesia in 2025, focusing on various health assessments tailored to different age groups. By conducting health checks directly at schools, logistical efficiency is improved, ensuring more children receive the necessary screenings. The program not only addresses physical health but also mental well-being, with mental health screenings prioritized for middle and high school students. The multi-sector initiative involves collaborations with various ministries and agencies to provide comprehensive healthcare for schoolchildren in Indonesia.
