Thomas Djiwandono, a Financial Sector Member of the Prabowo-Gibran Government Transition Task Force, has confirmed that he and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, along with her team, have been collaborating closely for the past two months. This partnership was highlighted during a press conference on Fundamental Economic Conditions and the 2025 State Budget on Monday, June 24, 2024.
“I and the economic team have been working closely with the Ministry of Finance, the Minister, Deputy Ministers, Directors General, and so forth for nearly two months now, so this is actually a natural and synchronized process,” he stated.
Djiwandono also mentioned that a meeting took place last week with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and President-elect Prabowo Subianto, emphasizing that there is no difference between the two leaders.
Economic Coordinating Minister Airlangga confirmed that a meeting had occurred with President Jokowi and President-elect Prabowo, as well as Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco. Both parties have agreed on the main outlines of the 2025 State Budget.
“It has been clarified regarding the economic conditions and related to the 2025 State Budget. Basically, they have understood and agreed on the matters discussed in the meeting,” Airlangga said.
One of the agreed points is the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, which has been allocated Rp 71 trillion in the 2025 State Budget.
