Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G: Perbarui Spesifikasi Terbaru dengan Perbedaan Tipis

The Highlight

  • Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G can be said as a ‘facelift’ product from Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G which was released in August 2023. The most significant difference can be seen in the design aspect which now looks more ‘luxurious’ with unique textures and motifs. The weight is also slightly lighter than its predecessor.
  • With a higher price of Rp 1 million, this phone offers a larger internal memory capacity of 512 GB.
  • In terms of photography, the camera hardware used in the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G is exactly the same as the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G. There is a slight improvement in the software for better photo processing.
  • The screen and battery capacity have also not changed. The chipset has been updated from the previous Snapdragon 778G from Qualcomm to the Dimensity 8200 from MediaTek.
  • It can be an option for users who want to upgrade from an entry-level to a mid-range phone with an almost flagship experience. However, if you want to save more, actually the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G, which is Rp 1 million cheaper, provides almost the same experience.

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The mid-range smartphone market is becoming more competitive. Smartphone manufacturers are racing to bring flagship-like products, but at a relatively affordable price.

One of the most diligent mid-range smartphones is the Reno series from Oppo. Starting in 2024, the Chinese manufacturer released the latest duo models, namely the Oppo Reno 11 5G and Reno 11 Pro 5G.

The release interval is only 5 months from the previous series, namely Oppo Reno 10 5G, Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G, and Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ 5G. It seems that Oppo doesn’t want to miss the momentum of the rapidly growing mid-range smartphone trend.

According to IDC’s report, the mid-range smartphone market (Rp 3 to 9.3 million) increased by 16.8% year-on-year (YoY) in Q3 2023. Indonesian consumers are also becoming more interested in buying smartphones with a price range of over US$ 600 or Rp 9.3 million.

Perhaps this is also the reason why the Oppo Reno 11 Pro is sold at a price of Rp 9 million, an increase of Rp 1 million from its predecessor. The higher price is compensated by a larger internal memory capacity, which is 512GB compared to 256GB on the Oppo Reno 10 Pro.

Of course, that’s not the only improvement offered. CNBC Indonesia had the opportunity to try out the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G for almost a month.

We used this smartphone for our daily needs, such as accessing chat applications and social media, playing games, taking photos and videos, watching movies and listening to music, and more.

For a smartphone priced at Rp 9 million, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G has several advantages that are worth appreciating. However, there are also notes that we think can be improved further. Check out the following points:

Luxurious and Functional Design

The design aspect is the main differentiator between the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G and the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G. Indeed the screen size and body are relatively the same, but the back material is made more ‘luxurious’.

CNBC Indonesia got the ‘Rock Grey’ variant with a glitter effect that immediately catches the eye. The texture is soft and feels sturdy, especially with the aluminum frame on the sides.

Although there are no complex motifs like the ‘Pearl White’ variant, the Rock Grey appearance feels classic, simple, and elegant.

The back material has a glass nuance with a matte finish for a more comfortable touch. No need to worry about the back being dirty due to fingerprint smudges, or the phone suddenly slipping because it’s slippery.

The rear camera panel protrudes slightly with a vertical oval orientation to place three cameras. At the bottom side, there is a ‘Oppo’ logo made slightly faint, so it doesn’t disturb the overall design composition.

When held, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G feels comfortable in the hand thanks to the 3D curves on the front and back sides. The weight is also lighter, at 181 grams compared to 185 grams on the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G.

The Rock Grey variant is slightly thinner than the Pearl White, at 7.66mm. It can be said that the size, weight, and design of the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G really consider the comfort and functionality of using the phone.

The 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 93% screen-to-body ratio is suitable for watching movies or playing games on the smartphone. Especially supported by a refresh rate of up to 120Hz which guarantees a consistently smooth visual experience.

There is a punch hole for the front camera above the screen. If only viewed from the front, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G and the Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G look identical.

The screen brightness of the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G is capped at 950 nits. It is still safe to use outdoors, but when under direct sunlight during the day, the screen will feel dim even when set to maximum brightness.
