Jakarta — Minister of Defense and incoming President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia met with President Joko Widodo to present the outcomes of his week-long working trip to Europe.
Prabowo arrived at the State Palace at 3:00 PM WIB on Friday, August 2, dressed in a brown safari suit, a black cap, and sunglasses. Upon his arrival, he greeted the media.
“Good afternoon, sir,” the media greeted him.
Prabowo then stated his reason for visiting the Palace, which was to give a report on his recent working trip to Paris, Serbia, Turkey, and Russia.
“I just got back yesterday afternoon, so today I requested a meeting with the President to report on my trip. After the opening of the Olympics, I held a private meeting with President Macron and visited several other countries,” Prabowo explained.
From July 24 to 31, 2024, Prabowo carried out a working visit to four countries, meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Yes, Russia, Turkey, Serbia, and Albania. Yes, I’m just giving a report,” Prabowo concluded.
