President Prabowo Subianto highlighted the success of the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program during the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) in Jakarta. Launched eight months ago, the program has benefited 20 million recipients, including children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. The initiative has established 5,800 Nutritional Service Units in 38 provinces, creating 290,000 jobs and involving one million farmers and small enterprises.
President Prabowo emphasized that MBG is more than just a welfare program; it is an essential investment in the future generation’s health and productivity. The early results have shown improved school attendance and academic performance, surpassing the progress of other countries like Brazil. The President urged the nation to recognize its capabilities and work together to achieve even more success. The Annual Session was attended by various government officials and members of the cabinet.
