Malaysia Bertekad Mengirim Pasukan Perdamaian ke Gaza setelah Berbicara dengan Prabowo Subianto

Malaysia has agreed to send its peacekeeping forces to Gaza, Palestine, along with Indonesian forces. Malaysia’s willingness was conveyed after the Prime Minister spoke with Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto.

As reported by Antara on Monday (1/7/2024), Malaysia’s willingness was conveyed by PM Anwar Ibrahim.

“Referring to the humanitarian situation in Palestine, I would like to inform you of Malaysia’s willingness to cooperate, including in the aspect of deploying peacekeeping forces together with Indonesia if mandated by the UN,” said Anwar on his social media account accessed in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Anwar said he had a three-minute conversation with Prabowo, expressing gratitude for the smooth operation carried out by the newly elected Indonesian president recently.

He also said prayers for Prabowo to receive good and intensive care during the recovery period and to be granted a speedy recovery so that he can resume his responsibilities soon.

Anwar mentioned exchanging views on current issues, especially Prabowo’s role in representing Indonesia on the international stage recently and bringing vision, collaboration, and regional and universal peace.

“I welcome the idea of ​​international peacekeeping mission cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia, and this cooperation can be expanded to the ASEAN regional level,” said Anwar.

At the end of the conversation, he expressed hope that Indonesia’s elections, which will culminate in the Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) on November 27, 2024, will proceed smoothly and seamlessly.

In addition, Anwar also hopes that all preparations for Prabowo’s inauguration as President of Indonesia on October 20, 2024, will proceed smoothly.
