A light-hearted moment happened when Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto attended the final plenary cabinet meeting at Istana Garuda, Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) Nusantara, East Kalimantan, on Friday, September 13.
Prabowo was surrounded by a group of mothers who wanted to take selfies with him. Among them was Annisa Pohan, the wife of Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
As they were enjoying their photo session, First Lady Iriana Jokowi unexpectedly joined in. Clad in an all-pink ensemble, she quickly stood in front of the crowd next to Prabowo.
Prabowo, in a white outfit and black peci, seemed a bit surprised by the First Lady’s presence and immediately showed his respect by bending down.
“Where is Mr. (President Joko Widodo)? Mr. President, where is he?” Prabowo asked, turning around to search for Jokowi.
During the cabinet meeting, President Jokowi underscored the importance of backing the incoming administration’s transition to ensure its smooth and effective functioning.
“We must all wholeheartedly support the president-elect’s program and ensure a successful government transition,” said Jokowi. (RR)
